SSFL currently manufactures about 80,000 MT annually of deformed steel bars with a customer base that is particularly strong in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain markets conforming to ASTM A 1064:2022 BS 4443:2005 B500B standards
Cold reduced deformed steel bars are used primarily in the construction industry with a particular emphasis on villa projects and flooring when considering the diameter range (3mm-14mm). SSFL’s strategy is to focus on the lower diameter of the steel bar reinforcement range, as it’s a segment that larger hot rolled manufacturers do not focus on because of diseconomies of scale. By focusing on the smaller diameters SSFL has been able to optimize it’s production facilities and develop partnerships with the larger steel mills helping complement their range of products.
